How it works

Step 1: Choose the size you want

When designing your kitchen, simply leave an opening that matches the dimensions of the Nestel you intend to order. This ensures a perfect fit once your kitchen/cabinet is installed.

For compatibility with IKEA METOD®, the surrounding cabinets should use the standard 600 mm cabinet depth.

In the example shown, the opening in the kitchen planner measures 600 × 798 mm matching the nominal dimensions of a 600 × 800 Nestel. If the opening matches the Nestel size, it will fit as intended.

Space for your electrical installation

Designed for standard 600 mm cabinets, the Nestel has a total depth of 580 mm. An 80 mm service cavity at the rear provides space for cabling, wall sockets, and other electrical components as required. Any electrical work should be planned with and carried out by a qualified electrician.

Step 2: Choose the light you want, if any

For most Nestel models, the lighting is an integral part of the design. You can either get one without a light, a dimmable light or a cove light.

Here, you can compare the lighting effect between a spot and a cove.

If you don't want a light or have the option to install your own light, you can also choose not to have a light installed.

Step 3: Place your order!

Please see the installation page to find out how to install it in your METOD cabinet.
